How much does a website cost?

Standard websites start from £995. Larger or more complex projects are assessed and quoted separately, with the full price agreed before work starts.

What is included in the standard website package?

The standard package includes up to 5 main content pages, responsive design, a contact or enquiry form, basic on-page SEO, page titles and descriptions, image optimisation, a favicon, sitemap and robots setup, domain and hosting assistance, help refining supplied content, two structured review stages, testing and launch. Essential privacy and cookie pages are included where required and do not count towards the five main pages.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. We agree the scope and price before work starts. If you request something outside that scope, we explain the additional cost and wait for your approval before doing it.

Do your prices include VAT?

GG Web Co is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not added to our prices.

How do payments work?

Standard projects are paid in three stages: 40% to start, 30% when the main design and build direction is approved, and 30% after final approval and before launch. Payment is by bank transfer.

Do I need to sign anything?

Yes. Before work starts, you sign a straightforward electronic project agreement setting out the scope, price, payment stages, review process, ownership, responsibilities, cancellation and arrangements for additional work.

How long does a website take?

A typical small-business website usually takes around 2–4 weeks. It can be quicker when the information, images and feedback we need are supplied promptly. We confirm a realistic timescale before starting.

What do I need to provide?

We normally need information about the business and its services, contact details, existing branding, suitable photographs and any content you already have. We guide you through what is needed and flag gaps early.

Can you help with wording?

Yes. Refining and restructuring supplied content is included within a normal project. Large amounts of original or specialist copywriting may be quoted separately.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. We review what still works, improve anything dated or unclear and rebuild around what the business needs now. Existing domains and hosting can be retained where suitable.

Will my website work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Responsive design is standard. We check the layout, navigation, content and forms across desktop, tablet and mobile before launch.

Do you include SEO?

Every standard website includes basic technical and on-page SEO setup, including sensible structure, headings, titles and descriptions. We do not promise or guarantee search rankings.

Who owns my website, domain and hosting?

You do. We do not rent your website to you or lock you into GG Web Co. Where possible, your domain and hosting accounts stay in your name and you pay the provider directly.

Do I have to use your recommended host?

No. Krystal is our preferred provider when new hosting is needed, but it is only a recommendation. If your existing hosting is suitable, we are happy to work with it.

What happens after launch?

There is no compulsory support contract. Genuine faults in work we built are covered by a 30-day post-launch warranty. After that, you can use optional Website Care, request ad-hoc support or manage the site yourself.

What is Website Care?

Website Care is an optional £59 per month rolling plan. It includes a monthly health check, checks of important pages, forms, links, SSL and hosting status, backup checks where applicable, relevant renewal reminders, up to 30 minutes of minor changes each month, email support and priority over ad-hoc requests. Our initial response is within 2 working days. Unused support time does not roll over.

Can I ask for changes without Website Care?

Yes. You can request ad-hoc support whenever you need it. Tell us what needs changing and we will confirm the cost before any work starts.

How many revisions are included?

Standard projects include two structured review stages, and each can contain a reasonable list of requested changes. Normal small corrections are handled sensibly. A major redesign, extra pages or new functionality outside the agreed brief may be quoted separately.

Can you build more complex functionality?

Potentially. We assess more complex requirements individually and explain the scope, price and any ongoing implications before anything is agreed.

Can I update the website myself?

Where appropriate, we can discuss editing or content-management options. The right setup depends on what you need to change, and additional functionality may carry an extra cost.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. Most projects can be handled through email and straightforward feedback. GG Web Co works with businesses across the UK.
